Hello, Indonesia! Let’s triumph over the journey through knowledge and tenacity!

Halo, Indonesia!

The journey began after many sleepless nights. At that time, I said that this was the reality, and I would not return from facing it. Leaving my motherland in the meantime gave me inexplicable feelings, and I always think of my decision's outcome. I kept telling myself to "think outside the box" and "come out of your comfort zone" while I was there. I needed to savor every last bit of Indonesia's natural splendor and cultural riches, that was my goal.

The feeling was surreal when I stepped into Indonesia, the steamy heat reassured me that it would be much like the Philippines, and the sensation was bizarre. I got the chills from the unusual architecture and the building's robust construction, which gave it an otherworldly quality. The house and institution brought back memories of my childhood in the Philippines. I had nothing to worry about since the welcoming smiles of the Indonesian people would reassure me no matter what.

Sir. Yafi and Pa. Narto were the ones who picked us up at the airport. Their kindness and hospitality were exceptional, they treated us to a meal from one of Indonesia's OG restaurants. Indonesian batiks, with their vibrant and colorful patterns, welcomed me. The preservation and conservation of Indonesian art, culture, and customs are evident everywhere.
