CT ARSA FOUNDATION SUKOHARJO HIGH SCHOOL: Pedagogical Contents

The educator's pedagogical approach that I observed in action.

I had to keep my eyes vigilant like a vulture to fulfill the program's prerequisite of attentive observation. It was entertaining for me to solely focus on seeing the instructor present the material to the class. There were a lot of innovative techniques, and I witnessed Ma'am Anggi's commitment to her students' education.

Ma'am Anggi often made use of collaborative learning; she enjoyed group activities that may help her students become better communicators, collaborative learners, and listeners. Additionally, she used a teacher-centered style in which she presented the whole lesson, and the majority of her learners only listened and answered her questions when needed.

Pedagogical innovation and teaching materials

Teachers' pedagogical practices were revitalized and enriched by new learning resources and innovations. This aids in capturing and refocusing the student's attention on the subject matter that you want to teach. Considering the students' current level of knowledge and only delivering the lesson or subject made it simple for them to get bored. In addition, if you manage to pique students' interest in the subject right from the start of class, they are more likely to stick around.

At times, it was very important to implement new methods of distributing lessons to students and developing engaging learning materials. However, you should strive to think creatively, follow social media trends, and make good use of technology. These days' students are so tech-savvy that they can quickly learn new programs.

The sources of learning and technology used by the teachers.

When imparting knowledge to their students, the instructors at CT Arsa Foundation made use of a wide variety of mediums. Every classroom has access to the Internet, and the school library has an enormous collection of literature. The library, laboratories, and computer rooms are all fully functional at this institution.

Teachers use a variety of digital tools in the classroom, including PowerPoint presentations to introduce lessons and topics, Canva for creating visually appealing and engaging instructional materials, Word documents for developing lesson plans, and a projector and whiteboard to make data visible to students. Lastly, they utilized the computer lab as a peaceful space to listen to and comprehend the teacher's video presentations on the lesson's subject.

The authentic assessment used by the teachers.

Evaluating or assessing one's knowledge or abilities was the main focus of the assessment. "One text a day" was an assignment in Ma'am Anggi's English class. Each day, the students were to read one English narrative and record the story's lesson or moral in their notebooks. They were able to improve their English skills while also exercising their minds in this kind of exercise.

In addition, by writing down the story's moral or lesson, Ma'am Anggi may observe the student's progress in comprehension. The students are self-aware enough to recognize that they can't do everything on their own at once, but they're also determined enough to put in the time required to read and comprehend the story they want to get the knowledge and expertise they need. The fact that they will ultimately reap the rewards of their labor is the last piece of the puzzle.
