CT ARSA FOUNDATION SUKOHARJO HIGH SCHOOL: Teaching Practice

Image
Procedures of Teaching The students greeted me with enthusiastic smiles and greetings; we always begin the day with a prayer. Prior to the start of the class, looking for absentees and arranging seats must done. A game before discussion helped captivate the attention of my fascinating learners. Reviewing the last part of the lesson may serve as a memory refresher and memory testing simultaneously. They need to come up with ideas, so asking whether they have any will help them hone their thoughts. We can be more engaged in the lesson if they tell us a story that is relevant to their culture and heritage. Teamwork, helping classmates, and personal growth via challenging oneself were all indicators of progress. By including a rubric with the activity, you can ensure students pay attention to the details. It will also encourage them to get an excellent score. Before starting, ensure everyone is on the same page with the directions. Seeing the sheer delight on their faces as ...

CT ARSA FOUNDATION SUKOHARJO HIGH SCHOOL: Pedagogical Contents

Image
The educator's pedagogical approach that I observed in  action. I had to keep my eyes vigilant like a vulture to fulfill the program's prerequisite of attentive observation. It was entertaining for me to solely focus on seeing the instructor present the material to the class. There were a lot of innovative techniques, and I witnessed Ma'am Anggi's commitment to her students' education. Ma'am Anggi often made use of collaborative learning; she enjoyed group activities that may help her students become better communicators, collaborative learners, and listeners. Additionally, she used a teacher-centered style in which she presented the whole lesson, and the majority of her learners only listened and answered her questions when needed.  Pedagogical innovation and teaching materials Teachers' pedagogical practices were revitalized and enriched by new learning resources and innovations. This aids in capturing and refocusing the student's attention on th...

I currently reside in the Philippines and attend the San Leonardo-Off Campus of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology. As part of the Southeast Asian Teacher-Student Exchange Program, I attended Universitas Tunas Pembangunan Surakarta to prepare for a career in education. I participated in what is officially called the "Pre-Service Student Teacher Exchange in Southeast Asia," or the SEA-Teacher Project. Its goal is to give university-bound student teachers from Southeast Asian nations the opportunity to get classroom experience (practicum) in elementary and secondary schools across Southeast Asia.   Participating in the SEA-Teacher Program was completely serendipitous; I had no intention of studying abroad, yet the opportunity presented itse...

Hello, Indonesia! Let’s triumph over the journey through knowledge and tenacity!

Image
Halo, Indonesia!                         The  journey began after many sleepless nights. At that time, I said that this was the reality, and I would not return from facing it. Leaving my motherland in the meantime gave me inexplicable feelings, and I always think of my decision's outcome. I kept telling myself to "think outside the box" and "come out of your comfort zone" while I was there. I needed to savor every last bit of Indonesia's natural splendor and cultural riches, that was my goal.      The feeling was surreal when I stepped into Indonesia, the steamy heat reassured me that it would be much like the Philippines, and the sensation was bizarre. I got the chills from the unusual architecture and the building's robust construction, which gave it an otherworldly quality. The house and institution brought back memories of my childhood in the Philippines. I had nothing to worry about sin...
